zoe1Zoe, in the Greek, means “absolute fullness of life”.

Calvary Chapel of Anne Arundel County loves children with special needs! It is our hearts desire to help you in any way possible; whatever your need may be. Large or small. We have a wonderful Sunday school. When you arrive, let us know how we can help your child have a wonderful experience. We recognize some children are not ready, willing, or able to leave Mom and Dad. Therefore, we have a special classroom for the family. It has a large screen television for parents to watch the service live.

Background Information of how Zoe Life began:

When Renee’s son was first diagnosed with Autism, God spoke very clearly: “You do his speech therapy, use My Word, for My Word shall not return void.”

So that is exactly what Renee did, and God is doing an amazing work in her son.

Thus, Zoe Life was born.

Why should we use God’s word? God’s word is alive! Guaranteed to produce results every single time.

Sound unconventional?

David defeated Goliath in very unconventional way: a sling and a stone.

Saul tried to get David to use his battle gear.

Samuel 17:39 … And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.

There are many methods of therapy. None of them have proven results like the Word of God. God’s Word will always produce fruit. Every time it is spoken, written, read and sung it brings life! It brings Zoe Life! Zoe is the Greek word for our English word life.

Isaiah 55:11 So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless, without a gift], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Never underestimate the power of God’s word.

What is Zoe Life? Zoe Life began as a social/communications group for children with special needs of all kinds. It has become so much more! Our children develop meaningful friendships with each other on their level. Our group has children with Autism, SPD (Sensory Processing Disorder), Downs Syndrome and everything in between.

Zoe Life has a two-fold purpose. First, it is to plant the seeds of God’s word into the hearts of children with special needs of any kind.

Every parent wants their child to have an abundant, full life. That looks different for each of our children. But it is accomplished only by instilling the Word of God in their hearts.

Each session begins with the children sharing pizza. Then they do a short Bible story, sing songs, and make a craft. They play games, and close in prayer.

Secondly, Zoe Life is for the moms of these precious children. They find God’s word to be a refuge; a hiding place in the storms of life. It gives hope. And strength for another day. Friendships are forged as each finds encouragement in other women who understand what they are experiencing. Each knows the pain firsthand. Our hearts are knit together as we share a short devotional from the Word of God. Prayer requests are optionally shared; enabling us to pray for one another throughout the week.

We can’t wait for you to come and join us!
