About Our Leadership

Ray and Renee Bollas have two beautiful children (Wayne and Camden), and live locally here in Pasadena. They met in church, and have served together since they first met. Renee leads our woman’s ministries. Ray is the Senior Pastor, and graduated from Calvary Chapel Bible College in 1996; but he will tell you that it is not the piece of paper that makes the man a minister, but a heart and love for people given directly from God. Ray’s ministry philosophy is simple: Win / Disciple / Send.

Win: To bring people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? (Romans 10:14) Disciple: To bring people into a deeper relationship with the Lord. To teach them the Scriptures so that they will grow in the Lord. Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15) Send: To send those mature Christians into their neighborhoods and the outer parts of the world to reach the Lost for Jesus Christ. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations……(Matthew 28:19) (2 Timothy 2:2 NKJV) And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

Come, and may the Lord do a wonderful work in all of us………..

Slade VanTine and Dana Barkdoll
Slade and his wife, Maggie Van Tine, currently reside in Pasadena, Maryland where they have lived for over the past 20 years. We have been blessed with four growing teenage/adult children; the oldest Jonah and second Eve, are in college. Our third Miriam and fourth Gideon are both in high school. Slade is currently working as a Project Manager in the Systemics department of Anne Arundel County Public Schools. He grew up attending many churches in a military family and has been involved in the Church for over 40 years. Maggie is a dedicated homeschooling teacher who enjoys cooking, natural foods, singing, cake decorating and has the greenest thumb around. She is a practical faith worker who’s dedication has been clear since she was found by God in her troubled teens. God has molded her troubled youth into a heart of compassion that never fails to see the left out and forgotten around her. Slade has always struggled with the rules being the Way and hypocrisy in his heart. His biggest change in life came after graduating college when his parents divorced and he learned to lean fully on God and not just know Bible knowledge but to practically walk daily with Jesus.
Slade and Maggie enjoy sharing their struggles and teaching the lessons that they learned having experienced so much life in Christ together. Cancer, children, deaths, financial struggles, health issues, and completely different backgrounds have rounded us into His servants who are blessed to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Dana and his wife, Sharon Barkdoll, live in Linthicum, MD and have been blessed with three wonderful children who are now adults. Jesse, their oldest, left the nest recently after finding employment in Delaware. Sierra and their youngest son Nate are currently enrolled at local colleges. Dana is a graduate of LeTourneau University, Texas. Sharon is a graduate of LeTourneau and Stockton University, New Jersey. Dana is employed at FedEx, BWI Airport, as a Senior Aviation Maintenance Technician. Sharon is employed at Premiere Orthopedics as a Physical Therapist.
Dana grew up in a small Pennsylvania town just north of Hagerstown, MD. His parents were Christians and when he was four years old, his mother came into his bedroom one night before bedtime and told Dana about what the Bible says about Heaven and Hell, Sin and Death, God’s love, and the need to be saved from the penalty of sin by Jesus, God’s Son, who died for him on the cross. It was a no-brainer for Dana. He wanted to go to Heaven and Jesus was the way. That evening, Dana prayed and asked Jesus to save him by His grace. But Dana had a problem, doubt would soon set in. Doubting his salvation would haunt Dana until the age of seventeen. Seeing sin in his life and being surrounded by mature believers, who seemed to never sin, in the home and church caused Dana to doubt his salvation year after year. When Dana turned seventeen, his mother gave him a modern English study Bible as a Christmas present. Being frustrated and angry with no peace about his eternal destiny, Dana prayed to the Lord that he was going to read this new Bible from cover to cover and if the Lord did not speak to him about this issue, he was done with Christianity. To make a long story short, the Holy Spirit began to speak to Dana through the Scriptures as he read them. By the time Dana reached the end of the Book of Psalms, he knew what his problem was. Dana’s trust was in his performance instead of the Lord’s performance. He realized he needed to put his eternal destiny in the capable hands of Jesus and trust in His power to save. Dana placed his trust in the Lord Jesus during that time period and peace from God flooded his soul. Reading the Bible cover to cover had become a habitual practice in Dana’s life from that time forward. Through that time in God’s Word and in prayer, Dana was led by the Lord to serve in various ministries and churches in the States and other countries in the world.
