Ways To Serve

Church Cleaning Team

Being a part of our cleaning teams is a great way to get into service at the church! The times are very flexible based on your schedule, and you will always be paired up with others to share the burden. The schedule rotates which means you will only serve once every 6 weeks.
For more information or to volunteer, please see the information desk.

Usher/Door Greeter Team

Ushers and Door Greeters are the “first faces” of the Sunday morning ministry to help all the people have a blessed Sunday. Volunteers needed.
For more information or to volunteer, please see the information desk.

Corporate Prayer

Tuesday night prayer is the spiritual engine that drives our church. This is not a list-based prayer meeting, but worship-based prayer where we spend time in worship and wait upon the Lord, we pray scriptures, and have a time of intercession and request. It is the quickest hour of the week, which always leaves us refreshed and confident God is on the move in our lives and our church. *Childcare is provided.

Carroll Park Outreach

This outreach is tasked with sharing the gospel in Baltimore City to many children and adults who need love and extra special attention. We share a Bible story, craft, and snack with the children.
For more information or to join us, please see the information desk.

Calvary Kids

Teachers and helpers are needed to help us come alongside parents and raise the next generation of disciples. To work with the children, you must have attended Calvary Chapel for at least six months and pass a background check. Teachers and helpers are on a 5-6 week rotation, teaching once every five or six weeks.
For more information or to volunteer for the next teaching quarter, please see the information desk.

Evangelism Training

Our evangelistic outreaches are for anyone who wishes to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in public, to encourage the believer that he/she can and should share the good news of the gospel whenever an opportunity arises, and to teach the believer the skills to effectively share Christ with boldness and love, whether it be one-on-one or in public. (Acts 17:17). The ministry is always open for volunteers and anyone interested in joining our upcoming evangelism training sessions.
For more information, please see the information desk.

Why We Serve

Why Should I Get Involved?

The reason you should get involved with the ministry of your church body is because the Bible informs us that God has created us for good works (Ephesians 2:10), in order to use our lives to make a difference in this world for Him by ministering to others (Matthew 25:14-30), especially other Christians (Galatians 6:9-10; 1 Peter 4:10).
When we become Christians we are called to commit our lives to 3 primary purposes.
Purpose #1
The most important of these purposes is to grow in our love for God (Matthew 22:37), and our knowledge of Him through the Bible, so that we would be able to “walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God” (Colossians 1:9-10).
Purpose #2
The second greatest purpose we are to commit ourselves to is growing in our love for one another as Christians. Jesus tells us that there is no such thing as “Lone Ranger” Christians. He said the way that all people will know that we are His followers is by our love for one another (John 13:34-35). In fact, the Bible says that it is our love for one another that validates we love God (1 John 4:11).
Purpose #3
The third greatest purpose that God has given to us as Christians is to reach the lost with the gospel. This was the Great Commission that Jesus left us with. We are to purposefully interact with those who are outside of Christ, with the intention of leading them into a saving knowledge of the Lord, and then helping them grow in the faith by disciplining them (Matthew 28:18-20).
